Top 16 désigné Arica, Vendredi 27 mai : Le troisème tour du tableau d'entrée du GSS s'est déroulé aujourd'hui à Arica avec des actions très spectaculaires. Notamment la série d'Amaury avec Jones Russel, qui était en 4ème position et qui a réussi dans les 5 dernières minutes un barrel de folie noté à plus de 9 et qui l'a fait paser en tête devant Amaury. Le Moz a réagi dans les dernières secondes de la série avec une excellente figure pour finir en tête au dernier coup de gong. Avec 16.86pts: le meilleur score du Tour 3. Amaury s'est offert une super victoire, le plaçant à la seconde place du Top 16. "J'ai bien vu que c'était une méchante vague et j'ai ramé dur pour l'attrapper, mais c'était vraiment une belle vague". Amaury a scoré un excellent 8.83 pts. "Demain, ça va être vraiment consistant et massif. De quoi faire une belle compèt."  La phase finale va commencer  au Tour 4 samedi à partir de 7h30 (heure locale) avec quatre séries de 4 avant les quarts, demis et la finale qui seront en man to man de 30 minutes. La série 28 où Amaury, Charlie et PLC vont s'affronter a des airs de combat fratricide, non? Top 16 designed Arica, Friday, 27th May The third and final round of the GSS Leader-Board heats were surfed at Arica today and the action was spectacular ! In Amaury's heat, as he was the leader and Jones Russel in fourth position, Jones scored an incredible barrel more than 9 points and came to the lead of the heat, in front of Amaury. Moz reacted in the last seconds of the heat, scoring a good wave, and finishing with 16.86 pts: the best score of the Round3. Amaury pulled out a spectacular win in the dying seconds of his round 3 heat today, catapulting him into the 2nd spot of the top 16. Lavernhe describes his last wave: "I thought it was a pretty bad wave and paddled really hard for it, but it was actually a really nice with a pit and small ARS out of the barrel". Lavernhe scored an excellent 8.83 for his efforts. "Tomorrow is going to be really consistent...pretty massive, making for a good comp." he added. The final day will unfold tomorrow from 7:30am Arica time. Starting with four 4 man heats in round 4 and then moving into man on man quarter and semi finals, finishing with a 30 minute 2 man final. The heat 28 where Amaury, Charlie and PLC will fight seems really fratricial, no???
